Blink partners with Bridge of Allan Sports Club! 🎾
At Blink, putting community first and supporting healthy, active lifestyles is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that we are officially a Premier Sponsor of the Bridge of Allan Sports Club!
For all kinds of racket sports including tennis, squash, racketball and the fast-growing game of padel, the club is the place to be. Beyond the courts, with its fully equipped gym with separate free‑weights area, sauna and peaceful training spaces for activities such as yoga, the club really is a vibrant hub for fitness, connection, and friendly competition right on our doorstep.
Practicing What We Preach (On the Padel Court!)
Our commitment to local sports isn't just about putting our name on a banner - we love getting involved, too! Our Optom Laura and a few of her friends have recently been taking to the courts for padel lessons at the club. Safe to say, they’re officially hooked on the game! (And yes, Laura will tell you that sharp vision makes a world of difference when you’re trying to track a fast moving ball off the glass!)
Supporting Active Vision in Bridge of Allan
Different sports bring different visual demands. That’s why we offer a range of tailored options for active lifestyles, including:
SeeMax Sports lenses from Nikon with contrast-enhancing tints designed to make tennis and padel balls pop against court surfaces.
Sports frames from iconic brands such as Oakley, MauiJim and RayBan that can be fitted with your prescription.
Contact lenses so you can enjoy visual freedom without worrying about your specs steamling up or sliding down your nose (we offer free trials!)
Heading to the club soon? Look out for Boris Specker!
Next time you’re down at the club, keep an eye out for our new courtside banners. We recently asked our Facebook followers to help us name our glassis-wearing tennis ball mascot and our favourite was “Boris Specker“! 😆
If you’re looking to upgrade your sports eyewear, curious about contact lenses for sport, or simply due your next eye test, pop into the practice at 80 Henderson Street or book your appointment online.
