Highlights from Our Oakley Flash Event at Blink
For 2 days in August 2026 the Blink practice on Henderson Street was officially taken over by the complete Oakley sports and lifestyle collection - and what a brilliant couple of days it was! From high-performance cycling and golf frames to iconic everyday eyewear, it was fantastic to see so many of our Bridge of Allan and Stirling locals dropping in to find their perfect look.
Highlights of the Oakley Flash Event
Here were a few of our favourite highlights from the weekend:
Guests got the rare opportunity to browse hundreds of frames under one roof - including limited releases and specialist sports tints you don't normally see on the high street.
Our visitors loved getting hands-on with the revolutionary Oakley and Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, testing out their tech features and hands-free capabilities in real time.
Having our dedicated Oakley representative and tech specialist on-site on Friday meant everyone got expert advice tailored to their specific sport - whether that was hitting the ski slopes, running trails, or cycling roads.
From 15% off complete orders to our second pair half-price prescription deal, plenty of patients walked away with incredible savings (and enjoyed a glass of fizz or beer on us while browsing!).
Testing Out Smart Glasses - an ethical debate
Having the Meta Smart Glasses on-site gave our patients a chance to test-drive the future of eyewear. From capturing hands-free photos on the go, to listening to audio without headphones, the technology is undeniably impressive! However, the technology did spark some genuine debate about where smart technogy meets personal ethics.
We enjoyed some healthy discussion about where the line should be drawn between capturing candid memories and respecting other people’s privacy in public. Not something we at Blink are able to solve but something we must take onboard when helping you navigate how ever changing optical technology fits into your actual lifestyle.

Our Oakley giveaway draw was won by Blair Edmiston who was delighted to win FREE Oakley Frames.
