Contact Lenses

Experience the freedom of clear vision and comfort of contact lenses - the perfect solution for active lifestyles

We are lucky, as an independent Optometrist, to be able to offer a wide range of contact lenses that cater for almost any prescription. Contact lens technology has improved hugely over the years, allowing better vision and comfort. At Blink, we are confident we’ll be able to find the best contact lenses to meet your visual and lifestyle needs.

Contact lens brands

As we are an independent practice, we are free to supply lenses from any provider we choose, allowing us to source the best contact lenses for your individual needs. We typically provide contact lenses from Johnson & Johnson Acuvue, Coopervision, Alcon, Bausch & Lomb, Mark Ennovy, and many more brands

Types of contact lenses

We will discuss with you what your visual and lifestyle needs are in order to fit the most suitable contact lenses for you. There are lots of options:

  • daily disposables – suitable for both occasional and full-time users and available for most prescriptions. Patients like the freedom daily disposables give them, as they are only wore once - we can now recycle all lenses and packaging.

  • 2-weekly or monthly lenses – these are reusable and suitable for most prescriptions

  • toric lenses – for individuals with astigmatism

  • multifocal or varifocal lenses for presbyopia – these provide distance, intermediate and near vision for a wide field of view and are a great option for those who wear varifocal glasses and want some freedom from wearing their spectacles

  • hard, gas-permeable lenses – particularly good for complex prescriptions

Contact lens trial and direct debit scheme

After an initial consultation, we can provide you with trial lenses to take away so you can see how you get on with them in your own time and environment.  We will spend time showing you how to insert, remove and look after your lenses before you start to wear them and then we will follow this up with a further appointment to see how you are getting on. If you want to go ahead with contact lenses, it’s worth thinking about joining our care plan, which includes consultations, after care check-ups, contact lenses and lens solutions. You call pay as you go if you prefer.
